Amy's Bacon & Gruyere Sandwiches

Fry up some Applewood bacon then carmelize some onions in the bacon-y pan. Take a fresh panini or baguette and coat with fig jam. Layer on the bacon and onions and finish off with a nice hunk of gruyere. You can also grill or toast the bread first. This recipe is a homerun with hungry lunch guests.
