Equinox Fitness Clubs is looking for a dynamic, self-motivated, and creative individual to join the Marketing team as the West Coast Regional Marketing Manager. This position will lead the development and implementation of local and regional marketing initiatives with the primary goals of lead generation and new member acquisition for the existing 10 CA locations (7 in Southern California and 3 in Northern California) as well as new club marketing support in Seattle and Dallas. Position will work directly with the California/West Coast Regional Sales/Ops Team and report to the Senior Marketing Director at the corporate office in New York City.

The West Coast Regional Marketing Manager will be based Southern California and travel bi-annually to the Equinox headquarters in New York City. Travel will be required to Seattle and Dallas on an as needed basis.

Roles/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Actively pursue strategic partnerships with local organizations/individuals with the goal of heightening brand awareness, generating leads and delivering new membership sales
• Develop local sales/marketing strategy to drive membership sales goals
• Field and evaluate incoming partnership, sponsorship and media proposals; present viable options to Regional and Corporate Teams
• Support opening of new locations in Seattle and Dallas with development of local grass roots marketing plan
• Proactively develop and implement local marketing plans for West Coast locations that are results driven and measurable
• Provide local market insight to help in the development of effective media plans
• Monitor daily, weekly and monthly sales in all local markets; work with Regional Managers and Corporate Marketing Teams to implement contingency planning
• Develop retail-level, market area and regional sales-building outreach plans
• Act as the marketing liaison between the Corporate Marketing Team and the Regional Sales Team to fulfill local marketing requests and understand market dynamics and nuances
• Keep Regional Sales Teams abreast of planned monthly Marketing activity including pricing, direct mail, advertising and guerilla marketing
• Oversee local marketing budgets. Manage and negotiate with local vendors
• Monitor and report competitive marketing activity
• Serve as a brand ambassador to ensure that the brand is being properly represented in all efforts
• Work closely with other departments including Marketing, Creative, and Sales
