Yes it is true, we at Splendora are indeed Harry Potter obsessed, we cannot wait until November 16th to see the epic flick. And now that we just heard that Kenneth Branagh would be appearing in the follow-up installment as the hilarious, presumptuous professor Gildeory Lockhart, we can hardly contain our joy!

Since her little incident in the Hampton's this past Summer, Lizzie Grubman has been laying low, and avoiding the paparazzi's glare for the latter half of the summer. But Fall has arrived, and the Hampton's hellion made an appearance at the opening of Dylan's Candy Bar, Dylan Lauren's (Ralph's little girl) new candy store in NYC. Oh to be a fly on the wall at that one?

San Francisco: One of SF's premier bridal salons, Ristarose, (a Splendora merchant partner, but of course!) is celebrating their 6th anniversary! Think back to the days when Mom made you a bowl of delish soup and a gooey grilled cheese you couldn't help but feel all warm and special inside. So we were thinking, with the holidays quickly approaching, and all that friend and family time on the horizon, wouldn't it be simply splendid if we all took some time to make a scrumptious treat for our loved ones? Well all of us here at Splendora sure do love to eat, and we love it even more when there is homecookin' involved. And in the wake of what has been going on in our country, we took it upon ourselves to recommend some treats that are sure to out a smile on the face of someone close to you. Here are some quick and easy suggestions:

*Wake your sweetie up by preparing a breakfast of poached eggs perched on top of a crisp English muffin accompanied by a mound of roasted potatoes, and some slices of turkey bacon.

*Invite friends over for a cocktail party, mix up a batch of sangria, put some quesidillas and fresh mango salsa out, turn up the music, and have a groovin' happy hour!

*Bake a batch of chocolate chip cookies, place a few in a brown lunch bag, tie with some ribbon, and give to friends.

That should keep you full for a while.
