Are we lowering ourselves by covering the outfits that Christina Aguilera dons? Even if we are, this get up was too heinous to not comment upon. However, what's even more upsetting was the drawl and attitude that Christina was sporting that evening. It appears that she has traded in her regular voice for a slower, and more slang tinged ("shoo, I forget things sometimes") speech pattern. Who does she thinks she is fooling? We remember the Uber-poppy "Genie in a Bottle" as well as the "like, ohmigod! you guys!" at the Grammy's. Where oh where has the carefree, sugary pop star that we semi-loved gone? We predict that Miss A is "out to lunch"...wink, wink.

PS: One of our inside sources at MTV claimed that Christina's eyes looked like "pinwheels" that evening...scandalous!

We're not trying to harp on the bad taste that was the MTV Video Music Awards, but it has simply provided us with some of the best fashion misshaps of the year. We do love Versace and Donatella's fierce perseverance but, D's personal lava ain't jivin with us. We shall tell you why:

1) Leather-face tan...a little color is fab, too much is too Miami

2) Exposed midriff; D.V. is no Madonna

3) Iced-out, gaudy diamond cross

4) Stripped platinum locks
