MARIAH...OH MY-AH!
Take a looky loo...not to diss on Mariah because she is a truly talented individual, but she is ranking up there with other celebrity embarrassments a la Christina, Anna Nicole, and tacky Tara. Once a small-busted and shy songbird she has slowly morphed into an extremely enhanced caterwauler with a healthy dash of freakiness. She was amazing during her ultra-permed "Vision of Love" days and equally bomb when she belted state fair faves like "Dreamlover", "Honey", and "Fantasy". But, the downward spiral began way before the Glitter debacle and came full circle on her 1-hour edition of MTV Cribs where she gallivanted about her gauche Manhattan pad in nothing more than a pair of Manolo's. In order to take her seriously we simply cannot hear her whole "I'm so not a diva" rant anymore. Her whining and warbling have put us in permanent cringe mode. Her new single is aptly titled "Through the Rain", but we think that we'll wait inside.
