On the eve of a fete in his honor, and over a Pepsi with lemon at The Rotunda Neiman Marcus, design wunderkind Zac Posen (he's only 22!) gave us the lowdown on his fashion vision. Schooled at the ultra sophisticated Central Saint Martin's in London (other alumni include Stella McCartney, Phoebe Philo, Alexander McQueen, and John Galliano), Zac designs timeless and flirty frocks inspired by intelligent, poised, funny and ultra-feminine women, a description that defines savvy Splendora readers as well as Zac's muse and dear friend, Natalie Portman. Front row luminaries like Splendora style idol Queen Paltrow, Julianne Moore, Claire Danes, and China Chow have been spotted at his runway shows. And pieces from his latest collection have been snapped up by Madonna, Demi Moore, Cameron Diaz, and Halle Berry. As our time wound down, we both agreed that women should "run the world" (preferably in his speed tweed jackets), and then finally parted with a kiss on each cheek.

Well, it was only a matter of time before the "singer"-formerly-known-as-Posh-Spice made her Stateside debut as Victoria "I'm just as famous as Princess Di" Beckham.
