It's Friday again and we're safely back home. And speaking of traveling, the winner of a complimentary stay at Sausalito's Casa Madrona is: Erin King. Erin described Splendora as the place to go to "unleash your inner diva". Other notable quotes include, "Splendora is living life on no less than 1000 thread count", "Splendora is bompin'", and "Splendora is to be splendid, which in Spanish would translate into; Es una mujer my esplendida...a women who doesn't think twice about spending."

SPLENDORA IN THE WALL STREET JOURNAL
We never thought that we would see the day when our fashion faux paux would make it to the FRONT PAGE of a national and highly respected newspaper. In today's Wall Street Journal Splendora PR Chief Karen Bard was quoted dishing on her boyfriend's aversion to her creepin' jeans.
Fashion Emergency: How to Fix The Downside of Low-Rise Pants excerpt:
"Los Angeles wardrobe stylist Jeanne Yang calls in a tailor to put in darts at the hip. Advertising executive Paula Mangin of San Francisco is choosy about the chairs she sits in and, when she stoops, she takes care to bend at the knees. Web publicist Karen Bard , also of San Francisco, leans on her boyfriend."
"...Partners are often eager to keep everything in check. Many low-rise lovers say that their significant others are far more upset by accidental exposures than they are. Karen Bard , public-relations chief for fashion Web site Splendora.com in San Francisco, says her boyfriend whispers in her ear whenever her pants hit the danger zone. "He used to physically pull my pants up until I told him it wasn't appropriate."
You go Karen!

WHO IS THE SKELETAL SIREN?
We are all painfully aware that thin is in, but this is heinously extreme and we feel awful even showing you all this photo. After you gasp in horror and finally peel your fingers from your eyes we would like you to make the most educated guess possible as to who this crazy lady is. We know we mentioned the diet Queen above, but Latifiah it ain't.... First person to email the correct answer to feedback@splendora.com wins a spa treatment!

SPOTLIGHT ON SONOMA & NAPA
Weekends away in the North Bay are part of what make the Bay Area simply the most fabulous place to live. In about an hour's time we can be sipping vintage wine, eating world class chevre, sunbathing, spa-ing, or strolling. With so many chic choices (that even the boy will enjoy too!) you have no excuse not to hightail it up there. Here's a mini-weekend guide to the North Bay good life...
When you enter Sonoma you are happily greeted by Viansa; the Italinate winery featuring breathtaking valley views and equally tasty vino. Cruise to Sonoma square to have an afternoon bite at their restaurant, Cucina Viansa. As you make your way towards Napa you'll pass by the famed French Laundry in Yountville, site of unheard of organic herbs, splits of unreal champange, and Bernardaud plated food that will make even the most hardened critic swoon. Keep on driving until you hit quaint Main Street in St. Helena, site of chic shopping destinations (and Splendora faves) Pearl Wonderful Clothing and Foot Candy. While you head back by way of the Silverado trail stop for a late afternoon sip of wine at Luna Vineyards and enjoy the heady scent of olives as you imbibe in their picturesque tower. After all of the eating and drinking you'll want a place to lay your wine-soaked bones and both the Lodge at Sonoma and Macarthur Place are perfect spots to recharge. And when the next day is upon you, make sure to indulge in a spa treatment at the Lodge's Raindance Spa or the Spa at Macarthur Place.
Follow our lead and we guarantee your mini-vaca will make you feel relaxed, rejuvenated, and resplendent.
