How fabulous was it that Neiman Marcus closed their Union Square store
early last night for a private Splendora shopping soiree? We discovered a
new shoe designer named Guillaume Hinray (impossible to find any info
about him on the web) who, in our opinion, has the best collection of the
season (stunning lime and blue printed croc open toe pumps with gros grain
ribbon accents). For those of you who did come, it was fantastic to meet
you in person and chat by the Blahnik Bar. We're always interested in
hearing your feedback and welcome it at info@splendora.com.

NOTES FROM G. PELL - BURNING MAN REVIEW
Most of us from the SF Bay Area have long heard the lore of Burning Man, an event that happens every year in the dusty Nevada desert far outside of your cell phone service area and any other modern convenience that we take for granted. What started as a congregation of creative friends gathered to help a fellow friend renew himself from a bad breakup by burning an effigy on the beach (I apologize to any true Burners out there if I am botching this story) has now turned into a yearly mecca for an additional tens of thousands of creative minded people to venture out to the desert for a weeklong exploration of--well, whatever they want to explore, I guess. So what was I doing there, you ask? What was I, pampering aficionado and despiser of most microbial violations, doing there? Frankly, I wanted to see for myself what all the programmers, designers, and burners I've been working with over the past ten years have been raving (p
un intended) about. So I loaded up my husband's car (mine wouldn't withstand the dust, at least that's what I convinced him) with enough salty snacks, beef jerky, and Nutter Butters to feed a Samoan Rugby team and headed Northeast for about 7 hours. Alone.

PAPA-RAZZI
Chicken-fried Federline has certainly cooked up a salty little scheme to improve upon his negative bank account balance. A certain tale is circulating through the tabs alleging that Kevin is "Federline-ing his pockets" by selling exclusive photos of his betrothed doodling around Hollywood with his kids. This get rich quick scheme has netted him around $100,000, a nice amount for the house-fiancee until he marries into the big bucks. Britney is down with Kev's entrepreneurial spirit and has been seen wearing a tanks emblazoned with phrases like, "How Could I Say No?" and "He's the One". A more appropriate tag line suggested by a British paper recommended that her tacky tank should read, "He's the Bum."
