We are breakfasting at noon in our hotel room across the street from
our Peacock Venue at the Julia Morgan Ballroom. The party was a smash
success but our only regret was that we couldn't hang out with all of our
friends and readers who came out to cheer us on.

THE PEACOCK PARTY
It was hush hush for months and invitations were scarce but we can finally spill the beans about Splendora's Peacock Party and eBay Style Pageant. It was a night of spa treatments, handsome French chefs, and surprise guests (for the techies: Larry Page, co-founder of Google and for the star ogglers: Rosario Dawson). Emcee extraordinaire Karen Bard rocked the mic while trying to find SF's best eBay shoppers. All of the fashions modeled were totally ingenious. One brilliant contestant wore a vintage Journey tee with Jimmy Choo boots, one looked fierce in a Dolce & Gabanna corset dress, and another shimmed in a vintage flapper dress. Our first runner up and Peacock Spirit award winner wore Galliano and the grand prize winner of the $1000 shopping spree on eBay reigned in a haute Versace number. These ladies ruled the runway like it was nobody's "bid"ness.

BRIGHT LIGHTS, BIG PARTY
Either the popping flashbulbs are doing a number on this posse of B-listers or there is another eye-lowering agent plaguing them.

SAVE THE DATE: Dining Out For Life
Here's a great excuse to eat yourself silly. On April 28, a slew of SF eateries will participate in Dining Out for Life, a citywide event that benefits the STOP AIDS Project. This unique fundraiser bridges the needs of a great organization with the one thing San Franciscans excel at - dining out. Participating restaurants donate 25% of their food or food and alcohol bills for the entire day to support the critical work of the STOP AIDS Project. By dining out you can make a difference. Make your reservation to make a difference. Bon Appetit!
