Spring seems to have finally sprung here in the Big Apple. Although
our visit was timed perfectly with the arrival of the sunshine, 70 degrees
was simply not warm enough. This evening we're heading down to Miami for a
weekend of hot sun, copious amounts of Mojitos and Stone Crabs, celeb
spotting, and humidity-producing frizz.

LES ENFANTS TERRIBLES
Instead of peppering their speech with tween slang like "that's hot" or "my 'rents are buggin'," Madonna's brood is taking up an entirely new language at school. The bambinos are being schooled at the posh Lycee Francais School in West London where they will likely learn the correct pronounciation of hors d'oeuvres. And even though she's a high society lass with an accent to match, both Madonna and Guy cannot seem to figure out the lingo that the kids are laying down. Perhaps they are whispering about mom and dad'strs horrible idea of making another movie together.

OF LOVE LOST
We knew "Lost" would be a big hit when we saw that our beloved Charlie from "Party of Five" was brilliantly cast as the troubled Doctor hero. Our love affair began with the spartan, all caps, sans serif font of the show title (LOST) that eerily sinks into black space before being punctuated by a riveting trombone-blast. But it was the character Sawyer, who looks like a cross between Matthew McConaughey and Don Johnson (circa 1981), when ... ooh-wee! we knew we'd be hooked. Forget the fact that the show is completely ridiculous: man eating polar bears on a tropical island; a crazy French woman who has roamed the jungle with an Uzi for the past 14 years; and a chubbalub survivor named Hurley who, we swear, gains weight during every episode. This show may not always be logical but it does have something for everyone including several foxy ladies, serene beaches, and a trippy G.I. Jesus type named Locke who is, hands down, one of the best characters TV has ever seen. So then why kill o
ff handsome Ian Sommerhalder (far right) when he was just starting to get over the heartbreak of being dumped by his stepsister (who consequently was on a dream date with a dreamy Iraqui while her brother was undergoing surgery with nothing more than a stick to bite for anaesthesia)? If you've never watched this show you're probably lost just reading this babble. But, if you're like us, you'd be lost without it.
