Thanks to Sarah Jessica, Madonna, Demi, Julianne, Teri and the majority of broads on Desperate Housewives, reaching your forties means looking better than you looked in your twenties. No Mom Jeans for today's hottie 4-0. Demi follows Madonna's lead as the new face of Versace (and come to think of it landing younger, foxy men). It's a brilliant move on Donatella's part to feature forty year old beauties to promote her line, as opposed to the new face of St. John, the defiantly gorgeous Gisele, who is the rare 25 year old who could afford to buy the clothes she models.

We here at Splendora love the lazy, hazy days of Summer- the more hot and humid, the better. Here are a few things that we cannot get through June, July, and August without:

1. Jeweled sandals bought last summer in Capri from Canfora- they're so to die for. Perfect with coral toes and a skirt.
2. Shoshanna bikini with Nantucket lobsters- it sounds a little weird, lobsters on a bathing suit, but we are obsessed with both Nantucket and those little red crustaceans.
3. Beach Blonde Lemon Lights Highlighter by John Frieda- unlike like Sun-In, this will not turn your hair orange. The lemony smell is super and it's great to brighten your wisps.
4. Vaseline on curled lashes- it's way better than clear mascara and is totally gentle. If you have your eyelashes permed it looks even better.
4. Apple Green BBQ from Crate & Barrel- bring on the hot diggity dogs!

Fall, the most glamorous season is upon us- and the wheels of fashion are in spin. Join in the Fall fashion frenzy as Nordstrom showcases the best from the American and European designer collections. The evening begins at 7pm with cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and boutique shopping. And at 8pm, see the fashion in action during an ultra-glam Runway show. RSVP as soon as possible!
