WHITNEY + BOBBY + CAMERAS = GENIUS
If summertime belongs to reality television, then Whitney Houston is this season's queen. Though I suspected that Whitney would provide ample entertainment for viewers while diverting attention away from her husband (on a show named after him, no less), I certainly did not expect to enjoy BRAVO's latest reality venture. The R&B diva dazzles us by unexpectedly breaking into song, donning an array of headscarves throughout each show, and channeling her "Bodyguard" alter-ego Rachel Marron. Naysayers may dismiss "Being Bobby Brown" as a classless, depressing attempt to revive the careers of two popstars, but I say tune in. "Being" is the epitome of a guilty-pleasure: wholly engrossing, sometimes painful to watch, but utterly satisfying in the end.
