| THE FIVE STAGES OF INFIDELITY  After Jude Law admitted to participating in a late night hanky-panky session with nanny Daisy Wright, wild speculation about the future of his relationship with Sienna ran amuck. Now that Sienna has exorcised herself of the cheating rogue, she is beginning a new life minus her fiancee and minus her signature hippie inspired locks. The liberatory symbolism is too perfect - new beginning, new haircut - and it reflects the consummation of what we have termed "The Five Stages of Infidelity." Reminisce with us, if you will, the unraveling of Jude and Sienna's relationship:
1. Denial: There is no word of a definitive breakup. Sienna fails to realize that Jude is a devious, possibly sex-addicted cad.
2. Anger: Pictures surface of Sienna brooding before her performance in As You Like It (the play title is very apropos). The engagement ring comes off.
3. Bargaining: Jude reportedly proposes that the two go on a lavish holiday to reconnect. Gossip rags claim Jude is re-wooing his fiancee with the promise of babies and a more steady, devoted relationship.
4. Depression: Sienna is seen bemoaning her luck on the shoulder of ex-boyfriend Orlando Bloom. Her family, meanwhile, is "too angry for tears."
5. Acceptance: The relationship decisively ends. Her pixie, boyish haircut marks the start of life anew. |
| A DAY IN THE LIFE  Nicole Richie- she's not an actress because The Simple Life does not count as acting. She's not a model because posing for Bongo ads is akin to Jenny McCarthy posing for Candie's (kinda second rate.) So why is the spawn of Lionel, a young woman with no movie to promote, with no real career to speak of, always snapped while puttering around town? Are NR's daily motions that press worthy? In between evenings at the Tropicana, the bride of DJ AM keeps her waking hours full with a litany of sybaritic activities. Her days are spent like this; roll out of bed and put on vaguely ethnic clothing, chunky necklace, and moccasin boots, chat on pink Razr phone, use baby voice with DJ AM, pretend to put food on fork in mouth, chase non-meal with a large drink, futz with gigantor sunglasses and bag, scurry home, put on evening version of vaguely ethnic garb, go out and dance on gangly legs. Evening falls...the sun rises...rinse and repeat. One day at a time |
