Happy Cinco de Mayo amigas! After you cut out of work today, make some
time for margaritas, taquitos, and mucho celebración. But please drink
responsibly and try to take it easy on the tequila. Because remember, even
though you're in the spirit and you think that a sombrero really "makes
your outfit," it doesn't.

GIRL YOU KNOW IT'S (NOT) TRUE
Ladies, guard your bookshelves and get out the protective eye goggles, there's been a outbreak of plagiarism. This rash of fabricated words has been spreading through the ranks of best-seller lists since the early part of '06. The first wave came with James "there's no way I can remember if I had a root canal sans anesthesia" Frey, and now we're fully under-water wrestling with the lifted teen writings of 19-year old Harvard princess, Kaavya Viswanathan. Maybe these two figured that if Milli Vanilli can win a Grammy for fakin' it, then they surely must be able to score some couch time with Oprah to drive up soft cover sales. So in honor of the fake writer trend, let's pay tribute to the original icons of commercial faux, Milli Vanilli. And although we're comparing literature to MTV-generation music, it's clear that all of these so-called "artists" have befallen the same fate. They've been busted with a capital B! But these prima donnas of the plume can't hold a candle to the lyrical geniousity and of course, stylin' hairdos of the Vanilli's. Milli Vanilli took the world by storm and went totally next level by winning that Grammy. Another reason (in our opinion) that the MV is the clear winner of this game, they had a built in excuse- they could always "Blame it on the Rain.

WHITE PARTY
Hey, hey, the gang all gathered this past week to celebrate Sober Day USA! It's been one year of sobriety for Courtney Love, who thanks to a wicked juice fast, and some plastic surgery, has somehow managed to clean up her act. In order to celebrate her cleanliness (except for the rat's nest o' hair), Love showed wearing white to the party. Of course wearing black would be too morbid and would certainly show any trace of white substance that should accidently dust one's frock in the loo. So does donning an ensemble of pure white absolve the former pill-popper/huffer/hoover C.Love of any of her...how shall we put it, darker behavior? Interestingly, after Paris and her equally white-clad sister Nicky hit up the clean-living event, (they went for the Red Bull and photo ops of course!) they later decided that they were so high on life (and hopped up on "caffeine") that they would continue spread the word amongst their friends at another club later that evening. Because as we all know, nothing says "sober" like going clubbing.

AURAL DISPLEASURE
We hate to torture you by doubling up on the Paris gossip, but we've been alerted to a rare gem that demands to be shared. Paris has long insisted that she is much, much more than just a bubbly blonde who trots around LA in skintight velour tracksuits. She's an actress (refer to her awesome death scene in House of Wax)! A business mogul! An...ahem - adult video star! And, last, but not least, a recording superstar in the making. Banking on her celebrity and girlish charm, Paris has managed to wrangle a handful of well-knowns to contribute to her upcoming album - including Jadakiss and recent Oscar winners Three 6 Mafia. Check out a clip from her leaked track "Fightin' Over Me," where she bemoans being "hot to death" and "so, so, so sexy." Now, with lyrics like that, what boy wouldn't come running? It's hearing songs like "Fightin'..." that actually make us wish that a Milli Vanilli-like ghost singer would doctor Paris' musical efforts.

Protect your online ID, passwords, and pocketbooks from these evil phishing scams.
