The Green Art Project

The Green Art Project

Abstract Expressionist-cum-Pop Art icon, Robert Rauschenberg built his iconic collage "Monogram," with an unlikely grouping of objects: a taxidermy goat, tennis ball, police barrier, tire, the heel of a shoe, and paint--all found items (or trash) from the streets of New York in the '50s. Today, we're seeing a renaissance of "green" art and luckily there is a website called The Green Art Project devoted to highlighting the fabulous art being made and the artists behind it.
