Last year we vowed to curb our bottled water habit but must confess we couldn't resist the occasional bottle of sparkling. Having recently received this Sodastream home carbonation system as a gift from our green guru friend Zem, we are now both absolved and OBSESSED! All you do is fill the glass bottle with tap water, pop in to the machine, push down and lever a few times and voila!: sparkling water that's on par with anything store-bought. (You can even control the bubble size.) Saving the planet and saving money (goodbye pricey imported water!) has never been so easy. 11.06.2009

We admit, we love looking like glamazons. Now we don't have to feel guilty about it because the fur on
this vest is faux-tastic. Glam, modern and morally responsible—what's not to love?

Abstract Expressionist-cum-Pop Art icon, Robert Rauschenberg built his iconic collage "Monogram," with an unlikely grouping of objects: a taxidermy goat, tennis ball, police barrier, tire, the heel of a shoe, and paint--all found items (or trash) from the streets of New York in the '50s. Today, we're seeing a renaissance of "green" art and luckily there is a website called
The Green Art Project devoted to highlighting the fabulous art being made and the artists behind it.

We're going G-L-A-M with this
gorgeous faux mink shrug. The shirred neckline makes for a beautiful decolletage. We're wearing it for day (as shown) and for evening with a statement necklace and a
strapless dress. It's the most convincing example of faking it we've seen since the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics.
