Prego Journal: Maintaining Your Life Style

Just because you are expecting a child--or you're a new (or seasoned) parent--you don't have to let your style degenerate into a cookie cutter Pottery Barn/Gap automaton. I have an eclectic, constantly changing aesthetic so when it came to furnishing my nursery I eschewed the typical baby pastels and left the room (formerly an office) Pantone orange with chocolate carpet. I found a mod Calder-esque mobile to hang over my baby's crib (a cherub carved antique given to me by my best friend) and even customized the colors on the mobile myself. It will give my son something classic to zone out on and perhaps kickstart his appreciation for fine art. Here's a list of some very cool baby-mommy related items I discovered on my quest for stylish parenthood:

1. The Original Baby Mina- Strawberry Fields from Milkdudz, a breastfeeding sling in vintage rock album print
2. French Lace Tanga from Bella Materna, super sexy fit. Large can fit a normal size 8 when 9 mos. pregnant!
3. Asha Swimwear - I wore the Coco Cabana bikini, which fit like a dream, when I was 7 mos. pregnant.
4. Sistebella Circle Print Baby Blankets - soft, stylish, and beautiful color selection.
5. Eliptusmobius mobile by Julie Frith - Julie makes beautiful, high quality mobiles for an excellent price.
