What NOT to Wear: American Apparel Thermochromatic T-shirts

American Apparel Thermochromatic T-shirts

Did we really need Hypercolor to come back into existence (nice try AA with the fancy new name Thermochromatic)? I mean really? The 80s, I know just won't go away, but COME ON NOW!

What NOT to Wear: Chromium Dyed Leather

The process is disturbingly toxic, so opt for vegetable tanned hides for your leather goods. You'll need to do a little research but it is well worth it! Jason Lewis only buys the more eco-friendly alternative, which is ever so sexy.

What NOT to Wear: Sigerson Morrison Open Toed Boot

I never thought that I would have a reason to write a What Not to Wear and I never in my wildest dreams thought I would write such an entry about Sigerson Morrison shoe.  But I’m sorry, an open-toed knee-high boot?  I just don’t get it.  Yes I remember an open toed bootie from Helmut Lang years ago that was very avant garde, high fashion and cool but if it is cold enough to wear a knee length leather boot I would think the last thing you would want exposed are your toes, no matter how well-pedicured they may be.

What NOT to Wear: Your Grandmothers Window Drapery Dress

Poor Clare Danes is swimming in this ill-fitting frock that she wore to the opening of Barneys New York and the shops at Palazzo in Las Vegas. Here's a mulitple choice test on her dress. Does it resemble:

(a) a moth-smelling dinner dress found in someone's great-grandmother's attic

(b) window drapes in a retirement home

(c) 80's version of a Grecian Goddess costume meets 70s polyester disco dress.

(d) all of the above

What NOT to Wear: Joss Stone's Booties

joss stone Pink, suede, scalloped, and intended to match her dress, these booties are one giant mistake. No comment on the technicolor frock itself.
