With all the hullabaloo about the Superheros exhibit and the Vogue co-hosted gala in it's honor at the Met,  I was waiting for the glimpse of some fashion darlng celebrity to debut one of Pucci's Kryptonite accessories from the FW 08 collection at the social event of the year.  But alas not a killer clutch or super power weakening cuff in sight.  I thought it would be the perfect tongue in cheek accent for the evening---- this belt in particular would have knocked plenty of wonder women wannabes out.

I can't argue that one of a woman's best accessories (if not the best) is her own baby. Instead of lugging around a hefty stroller, my cousin (and a first-time mother), swears by Serena & Lily's market baby sling. The baby remains close in the all-organic cotting sling, providing the mama with flexibility and the baby with added security. I love the beautiful hand-embroidery and the soft grass pastel color as well.

One of our favorite jewelry designers, Jennifer Fisher, has her new collection available online with many of the pieces seen in the much anticipated upcoming Sex and the City movie. The dainty but sophisticated designs are classic and feminine, with the option for initial engraving on many of them. The 14-k white-gold hoop earrings with pavé diamonds stands out for me (Carrie wears them) and the monogrammed "Charlotte" heart necklace would be a thoughtful gift for a new mother.

This Tuesday my mom came to town. So I took a much-needed personal day and the minute she landed we b lined straight for Barney's and Bergdorfs.  On our walk we slipped into YSL where we spotted this gorgeous silver Y-mail wallet.   It is a replica of the envelope written  by Yves Saint Laurent himself, the only letter he ever sent  to his own company.  We both instantly fell in love with it.  As we were fawning over it in the case my mother said those words that every shopper wants to hear "Would you like one?".  Damn skippy I would!  Now my mother and I have matching billfolds.  Sometimes there really is nothing better than spending the day shopping with mom.
