Lanvin Hero Bag

A live encounter with the Hero at Barneys illuminated the beauty of this Lanvin creation. "Superb" isn't an adequate enough adjective; "Lovely" seems too delicate a term. The leather is soft, yet resilient; the chain handle is tough, but the purse's shape is slim and feminine. Even the phrase "in love" doesn't cut it, so perhaps it's best just to stare at the bag and sigh in awe. 11.09.2007
