What to Note: Christian Dior Cruise Collection

Last night John Galliano showcased his cruise collection for Dior here in NY. Maybe he has indeed been studying up on Nan Kempner or watching alot of The Graduate but I have the feeling that Galliano's sophisticated money-ed muses are a sign of the times. The entire collection felt very mature, very ladies who-eat-girls-like-you-for-lunch. With the economy as it is, the few that could afford gussy themselves up in Galliano's creations fit that bill to a tee. There were plenty of fun and editorial pieces but only a handful geared towards us bright young things. The standout fave for me was this layered yellow tulle confection.
