What to Note: Dream and Awake

Amanda Ericsson just may be my new hero. Despite the fact that she is Parisienne (Francophiles unite!) she is one of those girls in the fashion industry that has found a way to go far beyond the clothes to reate an entire universe around her work. Founded in 07, Amanda started Dream and Awake taking vintage pieces and reworking them. She then documents the process chronicling the moments in that garments former incarnation through an exhibition of gorgeous photographs to launch her collection each season. Currently her pieces are only available in a few stores in Europe and can be rented through their showroom but hopefully in the near future we will get to experience a bit of her beautiful, painfully cool world Stateside.
