What to Wear: American Apparel Poplin Dress

Splendora Allison pulled off a series of show-stopping performances at karaoke night a couple weeks ago. Her ensemble of choice exuded casual elegance and was equally suited for the limelight. The lovely bright purple dress pictured at left is from American Apparel, and though, in her words, it "doesn't look so good on the hanger or on the models [online]", it is still amazing in person, in addition to being comfortable, versatile, and available in a slew of eye-catching hues. Dark turquoise is another favorite.
