When The Ivy restaurant opened almost 20 years ago, all of Hollywood wanted to copy its unique, California-cozy style. Owner Lynn von Kersting has the best eye in town and she opened Indigo Seas right next door to satisfy her restaurant patron's cravings. She stocked those well-worn 1920s French leather armchairs early on. Victorian settees, carpet chairs, plant stands, and antique garden pieces go flying out the door. This is one of the few places you can find a selection of antique Moroccan chairs, sometimes in sets, and inlaid occasional tables. Every surface is piled high with small collectibles you'd find in London--tartan-ware, candlesticks, picture frames, prints, and paintings. New shipments arrive from abroad all year long, so check in frequently.
