On Le Marmiton's sign are the words "traiteur, charcuterie, patisserie," which is French for "tasty morsels." This tiny deli and pastry counter is so adorably authentic, we felt compelled to try out our high school French when ordering. Chef and owner Jean-Marc Kiffer keeps the display stocked with glistening fruit tarts, stunning tortes, and of course, croissants bursting with diet-threatening fillings. The lemon tartelette had the perfect measure of tang to it, and the tiramisu was heavenly--airy yet rich. Le Marmiton also sells cheese, wine, meats, and homemade jams. Stay for a bit and sit outdoors at their bistro, enjoying dishes like French Onion soup and Coq au Vin while stargazing.
