Hands down (and hands on), Massage Therapy Center knows how to move a muscle. Therapist Mark Conlon clearly understands how the hip-bone is connected to the leg-bone, and is extraordinarily skilled at massaging what's in between. Treatments range from Swedish to Craniosacral, and because their philosophy is based on doing what feels right for the client, they're happy to throw in a little Lomi Lomi with your Shiatsu. A 60-minute massage is genuinely an hour long; there's no skimping on the minutes, they don't tiptoe out somewhere around minute 49. While they do have enormous showers and wonderful steam rooms, Massage Therapy Center is nothing like those vast, see-and-be-seen glossy day spas that seem to care more about their cucumber water than their clients. They simply want your body to feel better and they focus on the expertise of their technique. However, they still have delightful perks like baskets of fresh apples, RobeWorks robes, and OkaB sandals offered to all. Attention to detail is key, and from the intimate feel of things you'd never know they have over 35 therapists on staff. And please, do not be deterred that they're located within a small strip mall; we'd return to the talented therapists within even if they operated out of a barn out in Barstow. Honestly.
