The MOCA Store
While its big sister MOCA stands nearby in hushed dignity, The MOCA Store fairly buzzes with vitality and whimsy. The store is small, steps off the MOCA courtyard, and filled to the gills with delightful objects d'art, books, and must-have knick-knacks. The large specialty art book collection is a bit pricey, but home to an extensive collection, specializing in catalogues of MOCA exhibits. The home accessories, jewelry, and funky treasures were delightful objects to peruse. We loved the sleek barware--like Metro Cane bullet cocktail shaker, Keith Haring doormats, and candy-like Alexis Bittar Lucite jewelry. With an afternoon of art appreciation under our belt, we were in our element, happily sampling Odeur 53, gushing over Howard Miller clocks, and pining for Commes Des Garcons soaps and candles.
