Veteran celebrity stylist Julien Farel tells his staff that "clients must be treated like royalty" and our first-hand experience certainly made us feel like a princess. We were pampered and transformed from head-to-toe, leaving the salon with the latest hairstyle, manicure color (by YSL) and, yes, let's put it out there: a smoothness that comes of  being treated to the latest hair removal technique, Egyptian waxing. This Madison Avenue salon is happily devoid of pretension, though it is clearly one of NYC's finest. The staff is professional, friendly and extremely accommodating – the receptionists are even fluent in several languages in order to assist international clients. It quickly becomes apparent why runway and celebrity hair trends are born here: The hair designers and stylists are trained artists that deliver the most current and flattering look – be it elegant or edgy. We let our stylist decide what to do with our hair and left with a 'do that had our hair looking thicker and healthier than we ever knew was possible. This one will go down in Splendora beauty history as being among the best salon experiences we've had.
