Lady Mendl's
Lady Mendl's is one of New York's best-kept secrets. Housed in the first floor of The Inn at Irving Place, the 19th century Victorian townhouse is the perfect setting for a relaxing afternoon tea. The parlor's antique chairs, damask-covered couches, and white linen tablecloths couldn't be more tasteful or comfortable. In keeping with the quaint atmosphere, each of the five courses is brought out French-style and requests for seconds are kindly obliged. But we do recommend calling ahead to reserve a table for one of the arranged tea times.
