A step away from Union Square, Oasis Spa is a delicious urban getaway. Given a robe and slippers and led to the well-stocked locker room, we left behind any semblance of everyday life before relaxing with little delights such as a cup of tea, lemon water, and an apple in another room painted the color of a rainy day and bathed in candlelight. There are rumors of their Lava stone massage as being the ultimate in sensory relaxation. For the Seaweed Wrap, we were stripped down to a pair of paper panties (not for the modest!), swathed in a seaweed gel, and wrapped up to rest in a warm cocoon. Upon emerging from our cozy chrysalis, we enjoyed a rejuvenating six-head Vichy shower rinse, after which our practitioner gave us a rigorous scrubbing, leaving us with skin so soft, we had to make evening plans with the intent of showing off our epidermis at its dewiest, its smoothest, its best.
