La Casa Que Canta literally translates to 'The house that sings' named for the lull of the waves brushing up against the rocky cliff side, upon which the hotel is built. Each of the 25 deluxe suites are named after a different song and feature beautiful Mexican folk decor. Because the hotel is uniquely nestled on a cliff with tiered architecture, every suite has full ocean views and terraces, many with private pools. The property also includes two private residences each with four villas that can be rented out for families, weddings, etc. Much of the staff has worked there for years and the service, as well as the cuisine, are impeccable. We were lucky enough to stay in one of the villas and spent our days lounging poolside, sipping Don Valente tequila and relaxing to the sounds and sweeping views of Zihuatanejo Bay. Children under 16 aren't allowed on the property, and because of the secluded location, there is no noise from the beach below. It is the ultimate romantic getaway. Needless to say we didn't venture very far from our cozy abode. Why would we, when all we would need to do is dial a button and our personal butler would tend to our every whim?
