If you're not interested in the traditional satin wedding gown or want a special dress that your ten closest friends don't have yet, make Nova the first stop on your quest. Unlike some couture shops, Nova is remarkably down-to- earth. But the dresses are not! Many of the gowns are courtesy of New York designer Reva Mivasagar who creates whimsical works of art. We ached to try a gauzy gown with an empire waist but didn't have the heart to upset the display. A dramatic floor-length, duchess silk opera coat threatened to cause a most luxurious splurge, but the $1,700 price tag kept us in check (at least until the credit card is paid off).
