Every chair, table, lighting fixture, and textile created by SF furniture and industrial designer Rick Lee has enormous amounts of heart and passion poured into it. Although he draws heavily from aspects of his personal life and surroundings, Lee honed his skills at various furniture manufacturers and design firms in both Chicago and Milan. Owning one of Rick’s Mardi Gras floor lamps, or Swiss Knife seating units will make you the most popular cat in town, just ask Bruce Willis, Romeo Gigli, or Lil’ Bow Wow, who are all devotees. Rick shares a studio with his Haute Couture designing wife Colleen Quen and draws much of his inspiration from her--evident in one of his latest works, the 60s inspired, hot pink, scalloped-edged Colleen Chair.
