Long-time editor of The International Fashion Syndicate, Luther writes the weekly Clothesline column for FGI (Fashion Group International), where she is creative director. A former fashion editor at The Los Angeles Times and Chicago Tribune, Luther also serves as a judge for the Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation (which provides $25,000 grants to help emerging American designers pay for a Fashion Week show), and she reviews the shows for many U.S. newspapers each season. So revered is she that, having won the CFDA's coveted Eugenia Sheppard award for fashion journalism herself, in 2004 the Accessories Council established the Marylou Luther Award for Fashion Journalism.
