Another behind-the-scenes mover and shaker is CFDA executive director, Steven Kolb, who works closely with CFDA president Diane von Furstenberg to foster the growth of the American fashion industry, here and abroad. Currently, the CFDA is working to move the NY Fashion Week schedule a few days later each season so American designers have more time to complete their collections, and they are also working with the US Senate to implement the Design Piracy Prohibition Act, which would protect a fashion designer's work from being copied without their permission.
