Julie and Julia Movie Review

1. Julie and Julia Movie Review

If you called Splendora's Editorial Dept. Friday morning and nobody answered, it's because we saw a matinee of Julie & Julia starring Meryl Streep and Amy Adams. Meryl is perfection as Julia Child but we found Adams' role a little half-baked. The Julie character may have required bland cuteness but we found it highly implausible that Julie could be guilty of being a self-absorbed bitch (this is a trait I know quite well ; ). The movie, however, has the ingredients for perfection: reuniting Streep & Adams; Streep & Tucci; and placing writer-director Nora Ephron at the helm. Hopefully you won't mind one too many Jules in the kitchen (and I'm not talking about Meryl...)
