Farewell King of Pop

1. Farewell King of Pop

Michael Jackson may leave behind a controversial legacy but one thing we can all agree on is his divine musical talent. This poor soul started his ascent to the throne of pop at the same age as my six year old niece. He was once quoted as saying, "People think they know me, but they don`t. Not really. Actually, I am one of the loneliest people on this earth. I cry sometimes, because it hurts. It does. To be honest, I guess you could say that it hurts to be me." There's no doubt his funeral will be a media circus and scandalous news will surface but in the meantime let's remember him before he became a tragic specter. Here's Michael at the age of 12 singing a capella "I'll Be There." I hope this tortured soul has finally found peace. --Gina Pell, Founder, 6.26.2009
