TO GET: A dream gift for me this year would be to receive a vintage Vogue collection. It comes in handy when researching my collections and, beyond that, I simply love Vogue - the issues all stacked together make beautiful shelf candy collection. I already collect them, but would love to be surprised with a hard-to-find era, either super early years or complete 80s.

TO GIVE: I will be giving a mix of Mesi Jilly shell rings to my girlfriends that love shells as much as I do, Balenciaga passport/travel wallets that double as chic mini clutches - I own one and adore them; they have so many uses and fit in so much for a passport case. Also, monthly flower deliveries from Michael George for a year to the work place of my friends that enjoy a bit of outside brought in. Also, it is nice receiving gifts at work!

BEST GIFT EVER: My daughter is my favorite thing ever so it would have to be something from her. One year she gave me a watercolor that was so good I assumed she didn't really make it herself. When I found out she did I screamed - I have a major talent on my hands! I hope I have the strength from God to handle her! She pushes me to be a better person just by her being who she is, and that is the most amazing gift.

TO GET: I told Jonny [my husband] he has to buy me a new Moncler jacket. A seagull pooped on my old one and it's just not the same.

TO GIVE: I am going to buy my sister a Valextra bag to tote her paperwork about. She is a social worker in Brighton in the UK. She will be the snappiest social worker in England.

BEST GIFT EVER. My mum gave me a really insanely nelly glass decanter when I was ten.

TO GET: I am dreaming of receiving a Cy Twombly painting. I am passionate about art, I am constantly inspired by the art world for my new makeup colors and Cy Twombly has a very modern and mesmerizing style. Realistically, I just fell in love with a powerful James Nares painting that is the same color as my Chantecaille makeup packaging. It would be perfect in my office.

TO GIVE: I am looking forward to giving our new Nano Gold Energizing cream to all of my friends. It is made of 24 karat gold, perfect for the holidays and, more importantly it is the ideal antidote to stress. It re-energizes, detoxifies and smoothes skin to absolute perfection.

TO GET: I'm a terrible gift recipient. I don't know what it is about my psyche, but I'm always embarrassed and feel unworthy. I will even admit to having received gifts that remained unopened for months. Eventually, my embarrassment over not thanking the gift-giver would compel me to open and acknowledge the gift.

In any case, I'm a bookaholic. Few things please me more than receiving a book. I would be especially thrilled if I were given Allure by Diana Vreeland (hint, hint). The challenge is that it's out of print and extremely difficult to find. Short of that, any book will do!

TO GIVE: At the risk of being perceived as a narcissist, I'm most excited about giving the Season Three DVD of Project Runway. Its release date is November 6, so it will be newly minted!

BEST GIFT EVER: After ten years of serious piano studies, my grandmother presented me with a baby grand piano. I was overwhelmed and overjoyed; 36 years later and I can still vividly recall the swell of emotions, since her gift was entirely unexpected. When I moved from D.C. to NYC, it took seven hours to get it up the three flights of stairs to my apartment!

TO GET: I'm hoping to get a gorgeous cashmere something from Barneys. Luckily, after 20 years of hard labor my husband [Simon Doonan] gets a discount.

TO GIVE: At the risk of sounding like a self-promoting hondler, I truly am looking forward to giving my new Muse Candle this year. I'm in love with it. I sit at my desk and stare at the faces for hours and get no work done, I'm afraid.

BEST GIFT EVER: My parents bought me a pottery wheel when I was twelve years old. That was amazing!

 
TO GIVE: I'm writing a check from the proceeds from the sustainable bag program that we implemented in our flagship store to the charities we choose.

BEST GIFT EVER: Due to the fact that I am obsessed with Diet Cokes, one Christmas I received a truck load of Diet Cokes. As a gift! It was pretty insane.
