It's All About Me

About Me

I think I need a little time to get my head round the idea of talking about myself (although it is definitely what I do as a business and actually have fun talking about my clients.....). So, we'll just say I love what I do (luck) and hope to do it better every year (effort).

I heard about Splendora from...

Paula my beauty buddy

Thievery Corporation, Groove Armada, Sia, Daft Punk, Nightmare on Wax

Way too many shoes from a zillion Spanish brands plus incredible finds from showroom and press sales. My all time favourite suede A line embossed skirt from Valentino. An incredible and eternal coffee coloured Oscar de la Renta gown. My custom medieval-look wedding gown in gold raw silk with tiny chiffon pleating on edges, plus the hand made embroidered Louis XV (think Christian Lacroix)pumps and crown. Drawstring pijamas and about 20 white blouses in all shapes and styles.

Thank you....

.... for the compliment. Funny thing is that I rarely wear red lip stick. Perhaps I should more often.

Btw., your kids are gorgeous!

How divine are you! Thank

How divine are you! Thank you for the post - I understand you work for Ogilvy? They actually have an office right here in Chicago - no Madrid, however. Any current exciting projects you are working on? It's frigid here in Chicago and I am working on the launch of a retail store, as well as getting ready for the holidays! XO Lynne

RE: Hola!

I was just reading your diary entry and getting all excited and tingly inside. After 5 years of teaching English in Korea ~ I'm currently living in Seoul ~ my brother and I ~ and my 11 year-old daughter have decided to move to Madrid for a year. We'll be taking a TEFL certification course through Canterbury next August and then teaching at their school. I'm so EXCITED!! After copying your diary entry to my growing Madrid info file ~ I'll definitely be contacting you for any tips and advise you might be willing to share in the future! Cheers! xxNandi

Exciting!

Madrid! I had to comment because my best friend will be studying there this fall and I'm almost more excited for her than me (I'll be in Paris- beautiful, but no doubt more laden with tourists than Madrid). How did you end up in Madrid (unless you're from Spain, that is.)? And of course I'm going to ask if you have any advice for visiting Madrid and/or Barcelona, since I'll be in both cities. Especially good food places, since the students I know who traveled to Spain definitely failed at finding good food. But I'm assured it was their non-adventurous-ness- I'm determined to prove them wrong. (Well it seems all you did was write Madrid in your profile and you now have a book of questions from me!)
