Ok, it was scorching hot in LA this weekend so there was really no other choice than to spend the afternoon shopping in a nice, cool mall.  Ya, some people might prefer the beach to cool off....but why go there when there's an abundance of Labor Day sales to check out.

The best deals I found this weekend --- the extra 50% off of a wide variety of shoes at Macys.  My mom and I bought 6 pairs!  You've gotta love it when you can buy 6 pairs of shoes for half of one pair of Manolo Blahnicks.  Unbelievable!

Last week I was at the Teen Choice Awards - cruising (working) backstage in the celebrity retreat room (aka gift lounge).  It was the usual --- celebrities come in, look at tons of goodies, take pictures and then take a bunch of loot home.  Great marketing and recognition for the brands and more toys for the celebs.

The teens came out in full force with the cast of High School Musical ruling the carpet...how many of them are there?  As usual there were post-teen celebs there as well --- my faves were Apolo Anton Ohno, Fergie and Snoop D-O-Double GG.

But the cutest teen stars of the night were Mark Indelicato from Ugly Betty and Hannah Montana herself, Mylie Cyrus.  I think she's the next Amanda Bynes.  Absolutely adorable and such a sweetheart. 

It was a fun night --- even if work was involved.  After seeing all of the commotion that these teens created, it's obvious that the teens have "it".  Can't wait until next year!
