Real NY Housewives Finale This season's Real Housewives New York was a sick addiction. Sick because I should be watching something other than "reality" TV (election coverage) and also because I watch it like a sporting event--yelling at the screen and rolling my eyes at the foibles and faux pas. Who could have predicted that the pretention and trash factor of the new cast could make the old cast seem almost loveable? And what's up with that crazy Alex and her camera-stalking husband? I don't buy the whole creepy togetherness thing. This guy just wants his ugly mug on the boob tube. The burning question of the day, really, is who is the most despicable character on the show? My vote goes to the Countess. See the penultimate episode where she smugly defines "classy people" with a ghastly sentence that begins, "Alls I know is ..." Who gets your vote for Most Despicable Housewife?

Too Difficult to Pick One
I too, found this season addiction and I rarely watch TV (although this just happens to be on when I'm at the gym during the evening....really!) This season's cast makes the O.C. darlings seem mellow in comparison. The Countess definitely is taking her "title" to her head and not in a good way; she speaks very condescendingly. A memorable scene is where she explains to Betthany that she insists on being introduced as Mrs. De Lasepps (or whatever) and not be her full name. Oh, please! And then there's when Alex was laughing about vibrators and plugging them into the wall. Really? It's like saying pantiliners require a sanitary belt. Goodness.

Ramona
Between the narcisism, the ridiculous clothing, the issues with men, and her meltdowns and tantrums (apparently the reaction to Simon attending the "girls night" was even worse than what we saw on TV) Ramona gets my vote. How she has such a levelheaded daughter is beyond me.

I refuse to watch
After the Orange County season, and now having Kara Keough in one of my classes there was no way I was going to indulge in Real Housewives NY. I did catch parts of an episode here and there...and it was terrible.

Countess
I would have to say the worst character on the show is the Countess. Her title is a real as the Countess Dahling von Dahling...except the Countess Dahling von Dahling has more class.

I truly can't believe this season. They're all so disgusting really. I've only really seen about 2 episodes but Alex is definitely my least favorite so far. She just plain bugs.

Addicted too!
Oh lordy, it's like the lesser of all evils. I really can't stand any of them except Bethanny but I'd say the Countess is my least favorite as well. I actually kind of liked her in the beginning but she's gotten worse each episode. I haven't seen the finale yet but it's waiting for me on tivo. Can't wait!
