Aloha! Reporting live from the top of The Four Seasons in Maui.. high 70s, partly cloudy, birds chirping, coconut trees, ocean view. We arrived Saturday and have done little more than eat and drink poolside--only leaving the resort once for a drive through the charming town of Paiea. Today's itinerary? Breakfast. Beach. Pool. Lunch. Nap. and dinner in a half hour. I'm going to explode soon. I'm also going through an internet jones, which is why I'm on the computer and not down at the nightly sunset hula ceremony or some other type of inane tourist activity. Tonight we're mixing it up and skipping the hotel restaurant. We're going to get fish tacos at a local Mexican joint and eat them near a coconut grove. Wish you were here...

If you spend any time in Lahaina ...
get the Makkai Roll at Gaby's Pizzeria & Deli.
505 Front Street -- it is SO GOOOOOD!!! It's a pizza roll that looks like sushi. Sounds weird, but trust me on this one -- it's been 4 years and I still think about that thing!

I wish I was there too
As soon as I left Hawaii, I wanted to go back. I love home, but it's significantly less warm, dry and relaxing. Have a mai tai (or five) for me.
