The Resurgence of Shopping Sprees Lately like most of us feeling the effects of the economy, I've been really good about not spending money (except on food, wine and Sunday bets at the track.) However having just seen the SATC movie I have a major itch to shop again. I was drooling over all of the fabulous clothes and the creative outfits that Pat Fields put together, but I could not stop thinking about the Dior Extreme Cutout Sandal worn by Carrie in several scenes. The shoes are my 'must-have' item this summer and after a thorough internet search I found the Steve Madden knock-offs for 1/7 the price! Of course then I rationalized buying them in both brown and black. Is it just me or has SATC brought about a resurgence of shopping?

And I love that it's my job to find all the lovely pieces seen on the ladies in the movie and tempt ya'll to buy them!

I have been feeling the same way, ESPECIALLY after seeing the movie. Thanks so much for that great find, as those shoes are one of the many things I pointed out to my sisters during the movie (I was literally calling out designer names every 10 seconds). I must have those Steve Maddens! Not sure which color yet though--did you decide?

Carrie's Dior pumps at eLUXURY
So it looks like eLUX has the real deal for the Dior shoes, but they're sold out! Maybe they'll replenish because of the movie? Who knows! But, hey, I'm definitely all for the knock-offs. Good luck in your search and shopping sprees!

Not the shoes but
the jacket she is wearing in the photo attached is my favorite from the movie. I kept saying " I love that jacket she has on" my best friends reply " you would" ( she's not a carrie.
