Long weekend! whew.

I ended up taking the girls to Slide & the Cellar on Friday night. They desperately needed to get their dancing on! :) On Saturday we took it rather easy at home, and mid-afternoon poked our heads into Steve & Barry's (which was a total bust & all cleaned out of anything remotely cute or that fit). Sunday, a friend of mine did the Escape from Alcatraz triathlon, so we went out to support him, then spent some time poking around Cow Hollow afterward. When we got back to the east bay, we got mani-pedis at The Nail Spa (long wait, but worth it!) and walked down Grand & Lakeshore to find the new wine bar you mentioned, for next time - it looks fantastic! And they have a special tasting event this Wednesday from 6-8pm. Might go check that out. :) Overall, a fabulous weekend! Thanks for all your suggestions.

Duct tape

I saw it as a nod to how technophobic Carrie is. She knew next to nothing about her Mac Power Book, she was the last to get e-mail and a cell phone, and her website was "a mess." Of course she'd have the same phone since 2003 even if it was falling apart.

I noticed that too and figured it was due to her throwing the phone when Big called..or the possibility of that happening, as I don't remember them showing it actually happening in the movie (until after the Mexico scene in the ocean).

Okay..

Funny Games

In many ways I thought it was well-crafted, in another sense I thought it was totally pornographic (and I'm someone who likes to be challenged by films). It's not a film I would want to revisit, though I have been contemplating seeing the remake. I have a strong feeling the English-version will be as unnecessary as I imagine it, just like the upcoming remake of Cache. Will reserve full judgment until later, but it's good to hear another opinion!

Yeah

He WAS cute -- he had his signature get-up on, too (basically the EXACT one in my picture). He dressed the part, and looked the part, but didn't come through for me =( Later I found out he was part of the celebrity all-star basketball game, which was on the very next day. That's why he ended his show early. Booooooo to his tour manager, or whoever booked that!

Your totally right, the leggings thing is only good on certain peeps, especially the models with long legs. Not so much on my short ones, but, I sitll might give 'em a whirl. And thanks for mentioning AA's leggings, their probably better for my budget too, just in case I end up hating them! Yeah I'm totally bummed about the video and we definitely had a talk with Drew's friend who feels terrible but there's nothing he can really do about it. Hoping to find someone who can at least bring the video back to life colorwise, and then just be thankful that we have our photos--phew! xoxo jen
