My Problem With Mr. Big

My own favorite heart troublemaker, Mr. D., took me to see Sex and The City last night at 12h35 AM, a sign of his good will to craft our own happy ending, in all senses of the word. We laughed, and I cried; we held hands, but something was missing. The magic between Carrie and Mr. Big. The brilliant twists and random encounters and reflective moments that had us identify to the tv series. How did Mr. Big lose all of his edge? Where is the virile, yet insecure behavior that gave the jackass his deadly charm? Can a man really change overnight, once he settles for 'the one?' How did Mr. Big become so boring? And how did the girls turn out to be so neurotic at 40 years-old? How do I not want this Manolo-branded fairy tale as my reality anymore? Did we outgrow SATC?

Cigar buddies?

Just curious....doesn't Big have any guy friends (and not the colleagues at the dinner)? He's always eating alone. Or did I miss that episode?

LOL

I actually liked old and boring Big. But that's because I'm old and boring. One of the things I loved about the movie is that the gals aged right along with the rest of us. I don't think the ladies are any less neurotic, they're just neurotic about different things. Will SATC still be fun when they're geriatric? YES, because by then I'll be a geriatric too!

Still love

Big, I think I'm just partial to Chris Noth period...I'm a Law and Order fan from way back so seeing him as Big and not a grizzled detective is refreshing. I didn't find him boring I found that he finally matured he went through his mid life crisis throughout SATC run on HBO and there is not telling what happened between the 3 years we didn't get to see. As for the girls if they weren't a tad bit neurotic I dont' think we would have gotten that many laughs and more people would have hated it. Most people like things to stay the same.
