I love the Barefoot Contessa. I adore her chill style, her tricked out Hamptons manse, and her fabulous dinner parties with wonderful food. I recently made her Greek Gazpacho, and I was so excited to be as fab as Ina. In addition to an assortment of veggies, the recipe calls for 6 cloves of garlic and 2 red onions as well as a big block of feta cheese. The result was yummy, but the after effects were long-lasting. To the point where this morning when I woke up, my husband greeted me with, "It smells like gazpacho in here." Even after brushing my teeth and gargling multiple times, and munching on Altoids all day, I still taste the garlic. Ina, you're still fabulous, but unless I'm warding off vampires, I'm gonna have to stick with your desserts.

my favorite ina dessert recipe...
is her chocolate white chocolate chunk cookies. they are easy to make and taste better than anything bought from a store or bakery.

My hummus
does the same thing if I eat too much of it. It tastes so good but the garlic catches up to you the day after.

Ha!ha!
I always wanted to try one of her recipes. Sounds yummy. I do however fear the garlic. I had garlic fries at lunch yesterday and it seems like nothing will get rid of the taste two teet brushing, gargling, altoids, gum and spray later and it's still around!
