Brushes with Fame....

The day after I arrive to Madrid,  from London......

Life always seems to have some big contrast waiting in the wings. The day after I flew back from London, my husband had a motorcycle accident on the A-6. An English teacher stopped to help him. Dario gave her our home number and she calmly called to inform me of the situation, the ambulance was on it’s way, he was hurt but conscious. A friend visiting from Rome drove me to the hospital. Dario’s back, head, arms and internal parts had all been miraculously protected... he suffered a broken left ankle, a dislocated right knee and a wide variety of scrapes and bruises. Seeing him on that stretcher bandaged to the nines was not a reassuring sight.
