I want this cute cashmere hoodie I saw on Bluefly.com. Now if I only I can pay down my credit cards enough to buy it!

I made this salad last night to go with dinner and I'm rather proud of it, so here's the recipe:

 (Some background: I can't cook. If it weren't for my husband who thinks he's The Iron Chef I'd probably be eating cereal every night! I can do salads and baked goods though, so I'm not a total loss in the kitchen.)

Mandy's Glamorously Green Garden Salad (serves 5-6) 

Ingredients: 

1 small head of iceburg lettuce

3-4 leaves of leaf lettuce

3-4 leaves of Boston lettuce

1/2 cup of carrots

1 stalk of celery

2 green onions

1/4 of a small cucumber

1/2 cup of alfalfa sprouts

mozzerella cheese (optional)

Preparation: wash all veggies. shred the lettuces and place them in a fairly large bowl, toss. chop the carrots (or buy the bag of pre-chopped ones like I do), the green onions, the celery and the cucumber into small chunks. place on a plate with the sprouts. After you toss the lettuce to mix it a little, slide the chopped veggies off the plate onto the top of the salad. Garnish with mozzerella cheese and serve with your favorite salad dressing.

You're going to ask: Why no tomatoes? Easy. I don't like tomatoes!

I'm a photographer. I've been behind the lens of a camera since I was 6 years old. (Okay, that first roll of film featured many shots of my thumb, but still....) You'd think I would be able to take a decent photo of myself. Or at least figure out the best angle for my unphotogenic face. After many experiments and with the help of my cell phone camera - voila! You can finally see what I look like, at least the version of me that I see when I look in the mirror.

 In other news, I have been a BAAD girl lately, shopping up a storm. 4 new books, a new handbag (see pic below - isn't she a beauty!?), a few pairs of jeans (as if I didn't already have about 20 pairs) and more sweaters (gotta bundle up for another Ohio winter.)

 On my "wish list": I need a new winter coat, I'd like a cashmere scarf and matching hat, and there's an adorable pair of denim converse sneakers I'd like to get my hands on. Oh well, maybe next month!

Since today is lazy Sunday (and it's warm for an Ohio Sunday in October) I'm wearing my Paper, Denim & Cloth jeans, a gray Victoria's Secret tank top, and my fave black converse all-star low tops. Comfort rules over all else!
