I'm Going to be an Auntie: Part 2 ! Here is another pic of my sister farther along....isn't she cute. I can't wait. And now it's on to the registry. I am torn as to whether I should get my lil' nephew something fun or functional. It just feels so boring giving her the "babies first wardrobe" (besides the fact that my mom has went overboard with clothes already) and a receiving blankets etc... HELP!!!!!!!!

Your sister is adorable! What an exciting time this must be for your whole family! So as far as the registry goes -- there's no reason why you can't do cute *and* functional. As a (relatively) new mom, this is a hot topic for me, so here's what I would recommend: a fabulous diaper bag filled with bottles from her registry (or a nursing cover if she's going to nurse), a "diapees and wipees" pouch, a pacifier pod, and some cute burp cloths (Babylicious makes really nice ones and have matching blankets). And if there's still money in the budget, a sling or Baby Bjorn. I definitely advise staying away from clothes unless you buy 6-12 months and up. EVERYONE buys clothes, and only 1/4 of them get worn in those first months. This is such a fun time -- enjoy your shopping!
