champagne wishes...

I totally love Splendora! People share tips and stories and "secret weapons". For years, my sister was the only person I could trust enough to do that with. She's still way skeptical. Hates sharing her fashion/beauty secrets. I had to swear I wouldn't use a certain designer to design my wedding dress if I got married first before she would even think aboutĀ giving me this super secret designer-GOD's website.

*It's actually a REALLY great idea, and I kind of wish I hadn't made that promise; I mean...if I DO get married first, I think I might have to renege.

Anyway - I love that I can log on here and find out so many things I don't know about. I already get compliments on being ahead of the curve on some things, but now...I mean, now, people think I'm prescient. Way to go, Splendora! Making the already fabulous even more fabulous.

So - last night, I had the inspiration to pop open a bottle of champagne left over from one of our art openings, and I definitely had a full night of interesting champagne-y dreams. I always forget how champagne sneaks up on you, and when you're splitting a bottle with just one other person, it's crazy. My friend's first day of grad school was today, and last night I stole her from her books and made her [pre] celebrate. Plus, I haven't really had a chance to go out/hang out/ have a drink in a while. Excluding Monday's events at Austin Grill where I met a certain DC Exec at the bar that, as itĀ turns out, was supposed to be spending the last month in rehab, but is apparently still wrestling with some demons (drunk in the middle of the day). But I wish her all the best.

I've spent most of today trying to book talent for our 94.7 The Globe stage at Arts on Foot, and it's been relatively easy, with the exception of a couple of bands. Oh - my computer says I have new mail, hopefully it's one of the MIA bands. I'm ready for this event to be over.

So - in an effort to remain crazy Tammi that goes with the wind, I think I have to sublet my place so that I can go to New York for a while. My cousin's play is being put up off Broadway, and my sister is in it, and I believe that my services are being requested as well. I'll probably spend the season up there helping out and getting acclimated to NYC. It might be a permanent kind of thing.

Anyone looking to sublet in DC? Anyone know of any jobs in NYC?

xoxo
